To design a greeting card in CorelDRAW:
1. Page Setup (The Fold)
Most cards are made by folding a sheet of paper in half.
- Document: Create a new document (Ctrl + N) set to A4 size and Landscape orientation.
2. Create a Background
- Double-click the Rectangle Tool to create a box the size of the whole page.
- Pick a color from the Color Palette on the right.
3. Add Your Main Image
- Import: Press Ctrl + I and select a photo or clip art from your computer.
- Place: Click and drag on the Right side of the page to place the image.
- Shape it: If you want the image inside a circle, draw a circle over it, right-click the image, and choose PowerClip Inside.
4. Add the Text
- Select the Text Tool (F8) and click on the front cover area.
- Type your message (e.g., “Happy Birthday!” or “Thank You”).
- Use the Property Bar at the top to pick a “Script” or “Handwritten” font to make it look personal.
5. Save and Print
- Save: Save as a .CDR file so you can edit it later.
- Export: Go to File > Publish to PDF for easy printing.
- Print: When printing, choose “Print on both sides”.
