Key Components of the CorelDRAW Window
- Title Bar: Displays the name of the software and the open document.
- Menu Bar: Contains standard pull-down menus (File, Edit, View, etc.).
- Standard Toolbar: Shortcuts for common tasks like Open, Save, Print, Cut, and Paste.
- Property Bar (Dynamic): This is the most important part. It changes options based on the tool you select (e.g., if you click text, it shows fonts; if you click a square, it shows dimensions).
- Toolbox: A vertical bar on the left containing tools to create and modify objects (Pick, Shape, Crop, Zoom, etc.).
- Rulers: Horizontal and vertical scales used to measure and align objects accurately.
- Drawing Page: The white rectangle in the center. Only items inside this area will be printed or exported.
- Color Palette: A vertical bar on the right used to apply colors to the “Fill” (inside) or “Outline” (border) of an object.
- Dockers: Small windows on the right for advanced settings like “Object Manager” or “Effects.”
- Status Bar: Found at the very bottom; it tells you exactly what an object is (e.g., “Rectangle on Layer 1”) and its color details.
