Board-exam lessons, explained in plain language
Many students find computer science difficult because textbooks list definitions without showing how things actually work. Every lesson on Computer Mafia starts with a simple explanation, adds an everyday example, and ends with the points you are expected to write in the exam. Where a topic is easier to understand by watching, the lesson includes a short video.
The lessons follow the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) syllabus unit by unit, so you can open the exact chapter your class is studying. Students from other boards will still find the topics useful, because subjects like networking, HTML, PHP, SQL and Linux are the same everywhere.

Your first steps with computers: what the parts of a computer do, the difference between input and output devices, how memory works, and how to use Windows, MS Word and PowerPoint confidently.

Read the lesson
Start with the written lesson. Each one explains the idea first, gives an example, and then lists the points worth remembering. Read it once without taking notes, just to understand.
Watch and write
Watch the video if the lesson has one, then close the page and write the answer in your own words. Checking what you missed is the quickest way to find the parts you have not understood yet.
Practise until it is easy

Yes. All lessons, notes and practice games can be used for free. The site is supported by advertisements.
Which syllabus do the courses follow?
The computer science courses follow the HPBOSE (Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education) syllabus for classes 9, 10, +1 and +2, unit by unit. The topics are also useful for students of other boards.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can read every lesson and watch every video without signing in. An account is only needed if you want your quiz attempts and scores to be saved.
