How to open and save file in photoshop

 

Opening a File in Photoshop

  1. Open Adobe Photoshop
  2. Click on File → Open
  3. Select the image file from your computer
  4. Click Open
    -> The image will appear in the workspace for editing

Shortcut: Press Ctrl + O

 

Saving a File in Photoshop

 

1. Save (PSD Format)

  1. Click File → Save
  2. Choose location
  3. File is saved as PSD (default format)
    -> Keeps layers and editing features

Shortcut: Press Ctrl + S

 

2. Save As (Other Formats)

  1. Click File → Save As
  2. Choose format like JPEG, PNG, PDF
  3. Click Save

Shortcut: Press Ctrl + Shift + S
