Transforming and Typing, Rotating, Cropping, and Flipping Images

 

1. Transforming Images

Transforming means changing the size, shape, or position of an image or object.

Types:

  • Scale → Resize image

  • Rotate → Turn image

  • Skew / Distort / Perspective → Change shape

Shortcut: Ctrl + T (Free Transform)

 

2. Typing (Text Tool)

  • Use Type Tool (T) to add text

  • Change font, size, color, alignment

  • Text can be placed on images for posters, banners, etc.

 

3. Rotating Images

  • Rotate image using Image → Image Rotation

  • Options:

    • 90° Clockwise / Anti-clockwise

    • 180°

    • Custom angle

 

4. Cropping Images

  • Use Crop Tool to remove unwanted parts

  • Helps improve composition and focus

  • Can set fixed size or ratio

 

5. Flipping Images

  • Flip image using Edit → Transform → Flip

  • Types:

    • Flip Horizontal → Left ↔ Right

    • Flip Vertical → Top ↕ Bottom
