Various components of PageMaker

 

PageMaker has several important components that help in designing and managing documents efficiently.

 

1. Title Bar

  • Displays the document name and software name

 

2. Menu Bar

  • Contains menus like File, Edit, Layout, Type, Element, Utilities, View, Window, Help

 

3. Toolbox

  • Provides tools like Pointer, Text, Line, Rectangle, Zoom for designing

 

4. Ruler

  • Used to measure and align objects on the page

 

5. Page Area (Workspace)

  • The main area where designing and editing is done

 

6. Pasteboard

  • Area outside the page used to keep extra objects temporarily

 

7. Control Palette

  • Used to modify text and object properties (font, size, alignment)

 

8. Scroll Bars

  • Help to move the page view horizontally and vertically

 

9. Status Bar

  • Shows information about the current page and cursor position

 

10. Master Page

  • Used to apply common layout elements to multiple pages
