Introduction to MS Word

Microsoft Word (MS Word) is a word processing software developed by Microsoft. It is part of the Microsoft Office suite and is used to create, edit, format, save, and print documents such as letters, reports, assignments, resumes, books, and certificates.

A Word Processor is a software application that allows users to create, modify, format, store, and print text documents efficiently.

Creating a New Document

  1. Click the Start menu.
  2. Open Microsoft Word.
  3. Click Blank Document.
  4. Type the required text.
  5. Format the document if necessary.
  6. Save the document.

  1. Click the File tab.
  2. Select Save or Save As.
  3. Choose the location (Desktop, Documents, etc.).
  4. Enter the file name.
  5. Click Save.

  5. Make corrections if required, then print.
