This Privacy Policy explains what information Computer Mafia (computermafia.com, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Computer Mafia is a free learning website offering lessons, notes, quizzes and practice games for school students. By using the website you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — if you create an account, we store the username and email address you choose. Your password is stored by WordPress in encrypted (hashed) form; we cannot see it.
- Messages — if you contact us by email or through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write, so that we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Learning progress — if you are signed in, our course system (Tutor LMS) records which lessons you have completed and your quiz attempts and scores, so you can see your progress.
- Game scores in your browser — some practice games save your coins, stars or best scores in your own browser (local storage). This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
- Usage and device information — like most websites, our server and analytics tools receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the time of your visit.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the website, your account, and your course and quiz progress.
- To reply to your messages and to send account emails (for example a link to set or reset your password).
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve our lessons and games.
- To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
- To show advertisements that help keep Computer Mafia free.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies — to keep you signed in and to remember choices such as “Remember me”.

5. Third-party services
Some features of the website are provided by other companies, which may receive information about your visit under their own privacy policies:
- Google — AdSense (advertising), Analytics (visitor statistics), reCAPTCHA (spam protection on forms) and, where offered, Sign in with Google. Google Privacy Policy.
- YouTube — lesson videos are embedded from YouTube, which may set cookies when you play a video.
- Hostinger — our web hosting and content delivery network, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages quickly and securely.
6. Children’s privacy
Computer Mafia is an educational website used by school students, including a Kids Section for young learners. You do not need an account to read lessons or play the games. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent. Students under 18 should use the website, and especially create an account, with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. How long we keep information
We keep account information and learning progress for as long as your account exists. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them. Analytics and advertising data are kept by Google according to its own retention settings.
8. Your rights and choices
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct it, or to delete your account and its data.
- You can withdraw consent (for example for personalised ads) using the links in section 4.

9. Security
We use secure HTTPS connections and follow reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
